David Strunk is a 2016 graduate of Michigan State University School of Social Work, where he graduated with a Master’s of Social Work. He earned a Lavande Certificate for Gerontology Social Work from MSU and recently became a Certified Positive Psychology Practitioner. He earned a BA in Psychology from the University of Michigan - Flint.
David has 6 years of experience as a medical and mental health master’s level social worker. Over the course of his career, he has worked in the areas of palliative care, medical chronic care management, hospice and home health, bereavement counseling, and mental health case management. His professional interests are in the areas of Geriatric/Medical Social Work, Healthcare Policy, Social Gerontology, and Geriatric/Chronically ill Advocacy. He has focused his educational efforts towards advocating for the aging and chronically ill populations.
In his spare time he enjoys spending family time with his wife and daughter doing outdoor activities, attending sporting events, and concerts. He is a lifelong NBA fan and UofM sports fan and a member of the Grand Blanc community.
